As we worship in church,

we remember in gratitude,

the generations before us,

anointing this place of worship.

We join our prayers to their.

Psalm 91

Those who love me, I will deliver;
    I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
    I will be with them in trouble;
    I will rescue them and honor them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them
    and show them my salvation.

LEST WE FORGET....

The generations before us, anointing our place of worship

We thank the Lord for every prayer that has been offered in this church, especially by the generations before us. 

And in gratitude remembering those who have passed away, especially the first ones who came together to pray.  

We join our prayers with their prayers, let our prayers bear fruit in abundance.

The primary reason for coming into God's presence

The people of God are meant to worship and praise God, this is the primary reason we come into God's presence.  Our primary reason for coming into God's presence is not to get favours, not to get blessings, not to offer prayers and get answers to prayers. We primarily come into God's presence to worship God and glorify His name.  We give him praise with all our mind, all our mind and all our soul.
