We need to write down.

we need to stack up the stones.

We need to remember.

Fr Mike Schmitz's sermon on Joshua 1-4 as the Lord commands the Israelites to cross over to the promised land - "be strong and of good courage, be not frightened, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

We can so quickly forget.

We are tempted to forget in the dark what we knew is true in the light.

We are tempted to forget in the new trial what we learnt in the old trial.

We are tempted to forget that God is fighting for us in the midst of the battle.

We need to write down the insights we have gleaned from our experiences because it is so easy to forget.

We need to stack up the stones (Joshua 4:3-6) and we need to remember the miracles in our lives and the reasons why we need to "Be strong and of good courage."
