WHAT KIND OF WAIT DO I HAVE?

We know who is coming.
and we know the significance of why he is coming.
Our waiting has a meaning
We are waiting with a purpose
We know who is coming
and we know the significance of why he is coming
But we do not know the time he is coming
We wait in preparation for the Lord's coming
Psalm 27:14 - Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
Isaiah 40:31 - those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Psalm 130:5-6 - I wait for the Lord; my soul waits, and in his word I hope my soul waits for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning.
There are those who are immersed in Scripture
The intellectuals, those deep in law
But they do not recognize Jesus
They know the law
but they do not know the Lord
It were the simple folks who recognized Jesus
when He walked on earth
They were the fishermen, the blind man,
the woman with hemorrhage,
Andrew, Peter, John, James...
They were the people waiting for the Lord
And knowing who they were waiting for.
Psalm 33:20-22 - We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be.
Psalm 37:34 - Wait for the LORD and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off.
What kind of wait do we have?
Do we understand who we are waiting for?
Lord, let me know how to wait,
let me not be switched off,
let me not sleep.
Let me be in You
Let me be seeking and looking forward as I wait
so that I can recognise you
So that I will be prepared and ready for you
when you come to offer me a place in your kingdom.
