PSALM 91 (92) - IT IS GOOD TO GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD

It is good to give thanks to the Lord...

To proclaim your love in the morning

And your truth in the watches of the night...

Your deeds, O Lord, have made me glad

For the work of your hands I shout with joy.

O Lord, how great are your works!

How deep are your designs!

The foolish man cannot know this

And the fool cannot understand....

O Lord, how great are your works!

When we are blind to your many gifts

When we are unable to give thanks

When we mistake your gifts for our own achievements...

Help us not be fools

Help us see and say

O Lord how great are your works!

Inflame us with the spirit of gratitude

That we may ever return thanks...
